Draft team laughing mind

This is the kickoff point for team Laughing Mind for the Mont24hr on 27-28 October 07, following on from email discussion threads held to date with interested bodies. To date, we have the following nominees from Brian and Randy for team/s:

Brian: Anthony McKnight, Randy Miller, 2 newbies to be confirmed, Graeme Whitfield, Georgina De Bank (Graemes colleague), other TBC

Randy: (himself), Peter Cole, Andrew Garrett

This means we will have more than enough for 6 man team, possibly enough to do a second 4 person team for those keen enough. Race entries now open 14June so we have a bit of confirmation work to do. Will be looking to get peoples entry fees earlier this year rather than waiting till race day, so we have an upfront commitment. After speaking with Randy, doing a team campsite area is preferable to coughing up the extra $1200 for a corporate site (just too much for this little mortgage servicer).

It helps me trap spammers for now, but once the team is confirmed, I can assign each of you a membership and password to post as yourselves. Happy to see the forum grow, as this is what I originally had in mind for mtbikeworld.net , but I'd prefer to go for organic growth for now amongst friends whilst we sort out the fine tuning..

All, Team Laughing Mind has now been registered as a 6 person mixed team after I registered and paid this morning, so we are confirmed for the last weekend in October. Pen it into your diaries now, and keep up your riding!

Randy is considering doing a second team entry of 4 for the more committed riders(team More Laughing Minds?) and will get back to us with the result. We're not likely to have the numbers for two 6 person teams, but can potentially revise upwards from a 4 person team at a later date.
