Australian eWaste management stuck in the dark ages

CIO magazine has finally run a piece on the parlous state of management of eWaste in Australia

CIO magazine have provided an article that highlights just how far Australia has to pick up its game in the management of the electronics waste stream, which is both disappointing and unsurprising. With 99% recyclability potential, that's an awful lot of resources going into landfill sinks, which could be providing a useful resource source. Estimates by the ABS put resource flows annually at 3million PCs bought, with half a million recycled, 1.8 million going to landfill and the rest held in storage. Feel compelled to do something about that? Start with a visit to Planet Arks RecyclingNearYou site and get lobbying.
