Plone 3.0 released
As a fan of the Plone Content Management platform, we like to keep tabs on the great work of the community behind Plone. Here's cheers to them as they release the result of over a year of complex, co-ordinated open source effort.
Congratulations to the Plone team on their new child, v3.0
After having taken a look through the feature list in both short and long format, I have nothing but admiration for the collaborative team behind Plone V3. Development of stable, mature, easy to use products like this is a hard enough task in a development lifecycle where developers are co-located. To know that the development, documentation and release community behind Plone is spread right across the planet is nothing short of amazing, and their product represents a high level of professionalism and co-operation. I'm looking forward to my own upgrade to explore the result of their efforts and promoting it as a highly competitive CMS option, even when ranked against expensive COTS peer products.
